FB Walk-A-Thon


Gather your friends, family  and co-workers, and join us for the Fishin' Buddies! Walk-A-Thon! The ART of Nature
Saturday June 6, 2015 10am-3pm on the Campus of GSU


The Fishin' Buddies! Walk-A-Thon is a one-of-a-kind fun, recreational and nature-connecting outdoor event.  The event is in partnership with Governors State University. 

This art-inspired Walk A Thon will be held at the wonderful Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park on the GSU campus.

  • Raise funds to support S.T.E.A.M. Programs for Chicago land at-risk youth. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math)

  • Expose families to Governors State University's wonderful sculpture park in the South Suburbs. 

  • Expose the south suburban community to Governor State University's new on campus experience.

FISHIN' BUDDIES! Fundraising Goal:




Helping FISHIN' BUDDIES! raise funds is simple as 1-2-3

  1. Register as a Team, Individual or Join a Team

  2. Take 5 minutes to set up your FB Walk A Thon Page make sure to set a fund raising goal then you can add pictures, video or whatever support message you like, its totally up to your imagination.

  3. Share your page via facebook, email, text asking your family and friends to help you meet your goal!

Experience the Art of Nature at the beautiful Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park on the campus of GSU 

  • See beautiful sculptures along the park trails on the campus of GSU.

  • Use the FB Outdoor Assistant mobile App to explorer the trails and learn about GSU natural areas and student research projects
